Today's post is a little later but I felt like it would be worth it.
Today I had a scheduled appointment that would put a piece of Randy on me forever.
Randy had Philippians 1:21 tattooed on his forearm in Ancient Greek so that people would ask him what it said which provided him an opportunity to witness to them.
About an hour after Randy passed away, I took a photo of his arm so that I would have that tattoo with me. I later decided that I wanted to match him. Today I had his tattoo placed on me.
This one was Randy's. It was on his Right forearm.
This one is mine which is on my left arm
To live is Christ, to die is gain.
This was Randy's favorite scripture and he lived it every single day of his life.
I also played with this idea for awhile now and struggled to decide what I wanted to do and I finally decided last night. In an anniversary card to me, Randy had written "I love you as far as the east is from the west" as this is something that he frequently said to me. I took that "I love you" part and put it in an infinity. This idea came to me for 1 reason.
Randy and I had a thing... It would be "I love you", "I love you too", "I love you more", "I love you most", "I loved you first", "I love you best". The person who ended up saying "best" in a sense "won". However, there were a few times that Randy was not that person and didn't accept that. He would then say "I love you to infinity and beyond!"
His "I love you" is now in an infinity.
These two pieces were done by Moonlight Tattoo in Loveland. They were very careful with both of them since they are memorial pieces. They wanted to make sure they were 100% accurate and they took their time with them. I appreciate their time and care with both of them.
