Some of you may know that when I met Randy, I was actively writing a book that I had entitled "Driving Into The Fire". That book took a backseat when we got engaged because I was busy planning this wedding that Randy had dreamed of. It took another backseat when we learned of Randy's diagnosis. I have not picked it back up but it is half-way complete.
It has been said, several times, by several people, that I should write a book about our love story. I kept saying that I am not opposed to it but that I should probably finish the book I had already begun.
I asked a few friends for their opinion. Which story should I focus on? This was the opinion.. "If you were to pass away, someone could pick up "Driving Into The Fire" and finish it and it would be fine. But if you pass away, what someone cannot do, is write your love story. Only two people know this story and one is no longer with us. Write your love story. This story is the stuff of movies that you just don't believe actually happens" These are words that are consistently spoken to me.
I have begun writing it and nothing will be held back. NOTHING.
Some people may not like it but it's not my problem. I'm writing our true story. It's beautiful and it's brutal.
I cannot say when it will be complete but I promise to keep you updated on where it stands! I hope that when the time comes, you love it!
Please also understand that working on this could mean that these blogs may not roll out every single day. I’m in no way ending this blog!! When I remember a piece of our story at random, I dart for my computer and put it in the book. I need to put everything I have into this book in order to do our story the justice it so rightfully deserves. I hope you understand!
